Over the past three decades, we’ve grown from a single store into a beloved national brand, with a reputation for exceptional products and personalized customer service. To mark this special milestone, we invited you to step inside our head office for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at a typical day – packed with vibrant product meetings, innovative research, and a special birthday barbecue to cap off the celebrations.

Our day began with a buzz of energy as the office came to life. The hum of conversations and laughter set the tone for what was sure to be a productive day. The first stop: a product development meeting. Here, our design team gathered to discuss upcoming trends, materials, and inspirations for our future collections. With every new season comes a fresh opportunity to push creative boundaries and redefine what comfort looks like.

A peek into this meeting revealed mood boards brimming with colours, textures, and patterns. Our product development team dives deep into trends from around the world, ensuring that each new collection brings an elevated sense of luxury, practicality, and contemporary design. Swatches of sustainable fabrics were passed around the room, as discussions ranged from how to bring these materials to life in our product line to the logistics of ensuring their quality meets our high standards.

It’s not just about creating beautiful bedding – it’s about designing products that tell a story, resonate with our customers, and enhance the comfort of their homes. This is where the heart of QE Home truly shines: in the creativity and collaboration that goes into every piece we offer.

Signage and Innovation: Perfecting Every Detail

Mid-morning saw another crucial element of our operation in action – research and innovation. Today’s focus: signage. While it may seem like a small detail, the way our stores communicate with customers is a major part of the QE Home experience. Our marketing, store merchandising and design teams collaborate closely to ensure that every piece of signage in our stores, from window displays to product tags, reflects our commitment to quality and care.

In one corner of the office, our signage team huddled around various signage prototypes, testing their readability, visual appeal, and how well they aligned with the overall branding. It’s fascinating to see how much thought goes into something as seemingly simple as a product sign. Every detail – from font size to colour contrast – is meticulously crafted to enhance the customer journey in-store.

Research doesn’t stop at aesthetics. We continuously explore ways to incorporate technology and sustainability into our store designs and customer interactions. From QR codes that link to product care tips to eco-friendly packaging and displays, and a reuse/recycle methodology at the store level, our team is dedicated to innovation that not only improves the customer experience but also aligns with our commitment to environmental responsibility.

What better way to mark the occasion than with a barbecue? The entire office gathered to enjoy the sunshine, indulge in delicious food, and catch up with one another. Even our photography team took a break from behind the lens to pose for some photos, enjoying a well-deserved change of pace!
