Inside Our Fall/Winter 2025 Lookbook: The Romantic Return Trend
2025 Aug 29th
Do you ever yearn for more romantic times? Or just the next season of Bridgerton? Our third and final trend story of the Fall/Winter season will take you there: A place where voluptuous velvets and frivolous florals abound. A place with ruffles and frills, rich, sensuous textures, and candlelit colour palettes. It’s a Romantic Return.
The current political and economic events of our world demand a sensitive, emotional approach to our surroundings, a revival of the 1800s Romanticism movement. (If you ever experience anemoia—nostalgia for a time you’ve never known—for the most passionate and poetic period of humanity, you’re not alone).
Interiors and fashion are also embracing romanticism from different eras this season, with nods to Victorian, Regency, and even Gothic aesthetics on the runways and in our homes. From vintage-inspired florals to layered lace and ornate embroidery, more is more in Fall/Winter 2025.
Read on to explore the inspiration behind the Romantic Return design trend and get a sneak peek into our upcoming designer collections.

In this story we delve into realms of fantasy and illusion, and we embrace all that is both dark and seductive, dreamy and optimistic. Our designs fearlessly express our sentimentality, nostalgia, and passion for romance in the form of richly decorative ruffles, pleats, tufts, and quilted patterns.

Cotton and velvet fabrics are featured, in a departure from stiff and impersonal linens towards more intimate textures. We embrace the designs of our wildest fantasies: rich, blooming florals in seductive tones, and magical botanicals that glow in the moonlight.
In doing so, we celebrate the maximalism, return of rococo, and pattern-mixing of Fall/Winter 2025 fashion, as well as the natural, biophilic interior design we’ve seen in homes since the pandemic.

The Romantic Return palette is a revival of nostalgic, vintage and neoclassical colour schemes. It embraces traditional hues like deep reds, purples, and blues balanced with lighter, contemporary neutrals to bring you a 21st century romance palette. Our colours echo the moody, candlelit colours in fashion and homes this season, where cherry red, deep purples, and mocha mousse brown take centre stage.
The first design from our Romantic Return story is Christabel, a dreamscape where wild botanicals bloom under the moonlight, their silhouettes painted in shades of violet, plum, and lilac.

For a dramatic, passionate look, pair Christabel with Eucalyptus Luxe Sheets in Purple and matching purple velvet accessories that embrace the romance of the season.
If you’re looking for a love story this fall, wrap yourself in cozy layers, light a candle, and make home feel like the setting of your own Romantic Return.
